River Nautics designs, builds and launches vessels in Dispur, Assam. Our work is on the Brahmaputra and the Barak, and it is fabricated within sight of them.
We are a boat and shipbuilding company based at Dispur, in Kamrup Metropolitan, Assam. We build to order: cruise vessels, ferries, house boats, floating hotels and restaurants, barges, survey, ambulance and rescue craft.
Work is carried out on the riverbank rather than in a distant factory. Frames are set out, plate is cut and welded, and the superstructure is raised in the open, a few hundred metres from the water the vessel will float in. It is a slower way of working and it is the right one for these rivers.
The company is young. What we can show you is real: three vessels, named clients, and photographs taken in our own yard.
