Barak Valley Cruise, five years on the Barak

Barak Valley Cruise was built for Barak Valley Express between 2019 and 2021 and has run out of Silchar since. She is a river cruise vessel with spacious decks and a fitted-out interior built for hospitality rather than transport, and she was launched in front of most of the town.

Five seasons is a useful interval. A vessel that has been through five monsoons on the Barak has told you most of what it has to tell you about how she was built — where the water gets in, what the vibration finds, which fittings were worth the money.

She came back to the yard this season for survey. We stay with every vessel we build for as long as she is in service: survey, repair and refit are part of the job, not a separate business.
